New River Animal Rescue (NRAR) is a passionate group that is dedicated to serving the needs of community members and animals in Fayette County, WV and beyond. We are committed to assisting in the control of the dog/cat population through spay and neutering, ensuring all animals are treated with dignity, respect and free from abuse, and providing them with a warm, caring home with residents locally and out-of-state.
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and our shelter is located at 201 Maple Ave in Oak Hill, WV 25901.
We are not affiliated with Fayette County Animal Control. Any animals picked up by FCAC are taken to the Fayette County Humane Society public shelter located at 513 Shelter Road in Fayetteville, WV 25840. If you are in need of their services, please contact animal control directly at their non-emergency phone number, (304) 574-3590.
